Spiritual Parenting

I spent Memorial Day weekend way up north where Minnesota borders Canada. I always find time spent on the water up in the north woods to be wonderfully refreshing and renewing. This weekend was no different. One of the things I gave thought to while I was up there had to do with the direction I wanted to go with this blog. I’ve found myself inspired to make some changes!

I have a lot of passion for kids… and there are so many aspects of both childhood and ‘parenting’ that get me excited that I’ve actually found myself paralyzed over what to talk about, with the result that I’ve been creating a blog that is getting so broad it’s hard to describe and lacks an ‘identity’.

Since I want to continue to talk about all the various aspects I’ve made a decision to start a variety of different, yet related, blogs! So, starting today I’ll be shrinking (the number of categories) and expanding (the number of blogs) all at the same time!!!! :-)

So just a heads up… this blog, downstream-parenting.com will continue with a slant specific to ‘spiritual parenting’, encompassing the philosophy of such teachers as Abraham, Kryon and The Group, and Universal Laws to help us learn how to be the Guardians we intended to be.

I have just started the second blog, downstream activities, which will be filled with ideas, tips and how-to’s for all sorts of activities for the kids in your life. By the way, these are OFFLINE activities designed to engage and entertain your child while also supporting learning and discovery. So it will be at this blog that you will find science experiments, arts and crafts activities, games, tricks, etc. I’ve got a bit of work to do there and haven’t firmly settled on a background theme but I invite you to join me there too… and never hesitate to make suggestions!

I’ll keep you posted as more blogs open… and in the meantime I hope you’ll stick with me as I get my footing on this new blogging project. :-)

Continuing to tell stories of shortage only continues to contradict your desire for abundance, and you cannot have it both ways: You cannot focus upon unwanted and receive wanted. You cannot focus upon stories about money that make you feel uncomfortable and allow into your experience what makes you feel comfortable. A different story will bring different results: My thoughts are the basis for the attraction of all things that I consider to be good, which includes enough money, and health, for my comfort and joy.

— Abraham

Here’s a question for you to ponder today:

What is it you most WANT from your child today? Can you ponder the answer to that without activating thoughts of the ‘unwanted’ opposite? It’s worth practicing!

Great question ~ just to be clear, that means think about what I want from her without an immediate thought of “yeah, but”?? hmmm… that’s gonna take a little effort/practice. Can’t wait to check out your new blog!
