Science for kids – Marbled Milk

25 Feb 2010 by Mary K, 4 Comments »

Today I recorded my first video with my new camera… it’s quite terrible (I have a LOT to learn! LOL) And still… it will give you a good enough idea of how to perform this fun science experiment at home.

It really is true that even after doing this project dozens of times, each time feels fresh while we watch the amazing results! Be prepared to do Marbled Milk one over and over.

Wow, how do I tag this and send to a teach at my granddaughters school. This would be a great experiment for her class.

OMG that is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen ~ well at least today. I’m going to have to forward this to my little one’s teacher. What a great thing to do in the classroom!

  3. Thanks gals… great fun for at home and you’re right, great fun for a teacher to present to the classroom. When I did childcare and was working with a larger group I gave each child a small saucer and had them pour milk in. The kids (carefully :-)) shared the food dye… and then each child had a dropper with only a couple of drops of dish soap in it so they couldn’t put too much soap in at once. That’s important in order to get the effect.

And I’m not kidding… they love it no matter how many times we do it! ;-)

    Have fun!
